Tweed Cover and Spine Example There are two tweed formats. Both formats have the following in common:
  • The books are 7-5/8" x 5-1/4"
  • The covers are a red, pinkish or brownish rectangular woven textured composition binding.
  • On the spine is a zigzag pattern with the title of the voulme, the author's name (John Blaine) and the publisher, Grosset & Dunlap.
  • The cover of the book has the title of the book at the top, a lightning bolt in a circle with the wording "A Rick Brant Electronic Adventure" and the author's name at the bottom.
  • The endpapers are a slate blue on white paper showing Spindrift Island off the coast of New Jersey
  • The frontispiece is a black line drawing on white paper.
  • The dustjackets are white-coated paper with a different illustration for each volume.

Tweed 1 Format Example
  • Volumes 1 through 12
  • The words "JOHN BLAINE" are on a single line.
  • The words "GROSSET & DUNLAP" are on a single line.


Tweed 2 - T2

Red 2 Format Example
  • Volumes 1 through 16
  • The words "JOHN BLAINE" are on two lines.
  • The words "GROSSET & DUNLAP" are on two lines.
